‘We are proud to be working with PROagro in our endeavours to bring our olive oil to the international market. We hope that our olive oil will give people the same pleasure that our families have enjoyed over the years.’

‘The history of our olive groves goes back to around 1850 when my great grandfather decided to settle with his family in the village of Lagio.  Here he bought some land and then planted his first olive tree.  Ever since then our family has continued to invest in the growth of olive trees across the valley.  We have always worked hard to produce olive oil of the highest quality that reflects the beauty of the Laconia region.‘

    By  Dimitris Polymenakos

‘I work closely with my brothers on the management of our olive groves which now include 60,000 trees. Together we use our combined technical, financial and agricultural knowledge to care for our olive trees and supervise the processing of the olive seeds in our factory in order to produce our olive oil‘

    By Athanasius Polymenakos

‘I was four years old when I first walked around our olive trees with my father. This was where my father first taught me of the precious quality and major agricultural importance of the olive. I then learned how to cultivate the olive tree for olive oil. I love the olive because it is considered sacred, a symbol of fertility and peace, truly God’s gift.

40 years later I have planted many new olive trees and have tried to pass on my father’s knowledge to my daughters. For us, olive oil will always represent the source of life and it unites three generations in our family.  We invite you to be part of this history.’

    By Hatzis Harris

It is an honour to work with the Polymenakos family on the production of olive oil from my trees.  Our relationship goes back years and our families have always been close, enjoying deep roots like our olive trees.  Together we share a love of the olive tree and are committed to caring for our groves and the land that they stand on.’
